My Journey as The Power Prophet
I’ve always lived between worlds.
Even as a child, I knew the air was alive with voices most couldn’t hear. My first language wasn’t just words—it was the rustle of playing cards in my mother’s hands during late-night readings, the smell of crushed herbs in her hoodoo workings, the sacred silence when she’d pray with the same reverence as our Native ancestors. The spirits spoke through her, and through her, they began speaking to me.
I’ll never forget how the Queen of Spades would "shout" when danger was near, or how the Two of Hearts made my skin prickle with warmth when love was coming. My mother never called it "training"—she’d simply nod when I’d blurt out what I sensed and say, "Good. Now, tell me why."
But like so many of us, I tried to outrun my gift. For years, I buried it under textbooks, corporate jobs, and the noise of a "normal" life—until the universe humbled me. A career rut left me feeling empty. A bad relationship had me questioning my self worth. One night, as I sobbed in the midst of serious mental and emotional distress, I pulled The Tower—and suddenly, I heard my mother’s voice as clearly as if she’d been sitting beside me: "You’ve been given eyes to see the storm. Now use them to dance in the rain."
That was the moment I stopped running.
I spent years reclaiming what I’d denied—studying with elders who taught me tarot wasn’t just cards but conversation, that hoodoo wasn’t just ritual but relationship, and that my Native ancestors didn’t want worship—they wanted collaboration. Slowly, the fragments of my gifts fused into something unshakable: the ability to see the tangled threads of fate and help others weave them into strength.
